I also have another thiing that said LAN driver Version 5.641.0209. The driver that is in my computer is Realtek GbE & FE Ethernet PCI NIC Driver Version 1.02.0000. I chose the option that I thought would save all my files and when it was done everything was gone. I eventually found some files in a backup that it stored on my C drive - though my main account all my pictures and documents are still lost - it shows that folder empty. Eventually I want to try to recover them. Realtek ethernet lan driver download. So I'm not sure if I can download a different one, or if I have to use the exact same one that my computer came with. If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I have a Gateway Computer. I have Windows XP Media Center Version 2005 With Update Rollup 2. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. My computer said it didn't have something in MSCONFIG and said I needed to repair it by running the opperating system disc. At the moment though my issue is when I loaded my disc - it doesn't finish up - it stops on like 18 out of 60-something. I'm assuming that is probably why my drivers and software do not finish loading. I found a spot on my back up that had a place that I could restore my drivers. My speakers was one of the issues, and there was a Realtek driver for my audio and that worked. Yet the realtek driver for my ethernet does not seem to be working. I don't have a LAN line on my computer, so I cannot access the internet. I tried to reinstall it. I tried to find the driver on the gateway site, but it shows a different ethernet driver for my computer when I type my serial number. I downloaded it and installed it, and it did give me a LAN in the network connections tab, but didn't work.
